When using an Antlia Solar Discover 5Å CaK filter, the Antlia variable aperture iris diaphragm helps to filter out stray light and improve image contrast. It can be adjusted in real time and achieves optimum contrast at approximately half aperture (12 mm) or can be fine-tuned for specific conditions as required.
