ZWO ASI990MM Pro Mono cooled camera adopts a 1/4" Sony SWIR IMX990 InGaAs sensor characterized by a bandwidth from 0.4 µm to 1.7 µm (from visible to near infrared).
It is the first and most powerful SWIR camera from ZWO. Peak QE value of 80% at 1200 nm, with 5 µm pixels.
The passband that goes from the visible to the near infrared allows shooting even in cloudy sky conditions (water vapor is substantially transparent in the infrared) and it is even possible to shoot and photometry in the infrared band of stars in broad daylight.
Special circuits are employed to limit the presence of the so-called amp-glow, greatly mitigating the effect even in difficult SWIR recovery applications
