QHYCCD Polemaster camera for polar alignment. Electronic polar scope for fast and precise instrument set-up. This small but functional accessory consists of a high-sensitivity camera and a special adapter (available for many mounts) that allows installation on the right ascension axis of the mount using the polar scope housing. Once the camera has been connected to the PC with the special USB cable (supplied), you only need to level the mount and orient it roughly to the pole (the camera has a FOV of about 11 X 8 degrees). At this point you can start the supplied software (Italian language also available) and follow the simple instructions that will appear on the monitor. In less than 5 minutes the software, using the position of the polar star and the other stars in the field, will be able to find the position of the north pole (or south, the system can also be used in the southern hemisphere) of the ecliptic, all without having to enter any parameters. To complete the operation, the user simply has to perform the movements or adjustments requested by the system on the PC screen (such as rotating the right ascension axis twice by approximately 120 degrees). In addition, if the system's ability to compensate for atmospheric refraction is also to be exploited, it will be sufficient to save the coordinates of the observation location in the system. The pointing accuracy at the pole that can be achieved is 30 arcseconds (corresponding to the maximum pixel resolution of the camera), which will be sufficient for most photography sessions. Pointing the mount will also benefit from this precision. In fact, even with a single reference star, pointing will be considerably more accurate. Includes standard equipment.
