Second hand - Unistellar eVscope 2 telescope with original backpack
The Unistellar V2 eVscope brilliantly combines the functionality of a conventional GoTo telescope with the latest technology. The faint light of distant nebulae and galaxies, collected by the telescope, is captured by a highly sensitive sensor and projected into the eyepiece by a modern OLED screen. This adds the advantages of computer control and image intensification to traditional observation.
Simply switch it on, choose the object to be observed via the app and start observing. No laborious alignment procedure to the North Pole or knowledge of the celestial vault is required. The eVscope V2 automatically orients itself by means of an internal compass, an accelerometer and plate-solving (recognition of the framed portion of the sky). The eVscope is controlled wirelessly and intuitively via the Unistellar app (Android/iOS) installed on the smartphone or tablet. The integrated battery ensures power for up to 10 hours overnight. The time of tangled cables and bulky external batteries is over.
The automatic recognition of the framed portion of the sky (Autonomous Field Detection) is a feature that puts traditional GoTo in the shade! Thanks to its ingenious plate-solving procedure, the eVscope is able to analyse the stars in the frame in a matter of seconds and then determine their orientation. In this way, every object can be located and tracked in the night sky with extreme precision at the push of a button.
Thanks to image intensification (Enhanced Vision Technology), faint objects such as nebulae and galaxies, which are barely detectable with conventional telescopes because they appear as blurred, luminescent blobs, with eVscope, on the other hand, image intensification (live-stacking) is sufficient to enable the telescope to show images not only from single shots, but also from a sum of frames, thus gathering light over a longer period of time. Already after only a few seconds the observed object will appear as with no other instrument of this size: as the minutes pass, you will see the object become increasingly clear and intense, with colours and structures on its surface clearly recognisable.

field of view, 34 arcminutes x 47 arcminutes
resolving power, 1.33 arc seconds,
weight, 9 kg with tripod,
memory capacity, 64 GB.
The Newton telescope, with 114 mm aperture and 450 mm focal length, has a fast f/4 focal ratio. It therefore captures a particularly bright image. The parabolic main mirror produces no spherical or chromatic aberrations.
The Bahtinov mask integrated in the dust cap makes focusing child's play, so even without experience or prior knowledge you will quickly obtain a sharp image. Instead of a secondary mirror, the eVscope includes a Sony IMX224 sensor. Thanks to its very low read noise, this CMOS chip is also used in many astronomical cameras with very high sensitivity.
The image taken by the sensor is processed by the eVscope and presented in the eyepiece. This is where the extremely high-contrast OLED screen comes into play. The resulting experience is that of a live observation with an optical telescope! Of course, the observed object is also displayed on the smartphone or tablet.
The SETI partnership
In partnership with SETI, you can contribute to scientific discoveries and become part of a worldwide network of eVscope telescopes. The data recorded by your eVscope help scientists study supernovae, comets and asteroids.
Its light weight and easy assembly make the eVscope the ideal travelling observation platform. Put the eVscope in a backpack and take it with you to a place where the sky is clear and free of light pollution. It will only take you a few minutes to set it up.
Complete with original transport backpack.
