The Celestron SkyMaster PRO ED series represents the best you can look for in binoculars. They include all of Celestron's most advanced proprietary technologies and pack premium technical features in a good diameter with incredible brightness. The binoculars of the SkyMaster Pro ED series are ideal for both terrestrial and astronomical use, even in harsh environmental conditions thanks to the nitrogen-tight filling of the binocular body.
The binoculars of the SkyMaster Pro ED series offer exceptional sharpness over the entire field, razor-sharp, high-contrast images with excellent colour correction. This performance is due to the use of Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) lenses that virtually eliminate chromatic aberration. Celestron's high-quality ED glass provides brighter and sharper images than competitors, the difference being particularly noticeable in low light.
The optics are also treated on all surfaces with the famous and proprietary Celestron XLT multi-coating to ensure very high contrast values and a high light transmission value, which makes these binoculars ideal for use especially in low light conditions, such as at dusk at night.
In addition to the removable twist-cup lens hood on both eyepieces, which is ideal for spectacle wearers, it is also possible to screw in astronomical filters, such as light-pollution or polarising filters, via a 31.8 mm (astronomical standard 1.25") thread.
The SkyMaster Pro ED series binoculars feature a rubberized waterproof body for a firm and secure grip, fully waterproof to IPX7 standard, and are equipped with a knurled central focusing knob. Nitrogen filling allows use even in extreme conditions such as those often encountered in dusty and humid environments.
