Newton 200mm F/4 tube with carbon fibre tube - high quality optics and mechanics

The 200mm diameter, 800mm focal length F/4 Newton telescope is designed to offer optimum performance for both astrophotography and visual observation. Thanks to its high-quality construction, this telescope guarantees excellent thermal and mechanical stability, significantly improving image quality.

Main features:

Carbon Tube: The carbon tube is not only lightweight, but also extraordinarily rigid and resistant to temperature changes. This minimises the risk of changes in focus and collimation, while maintaining optical stability over time. The use of carbon also ensures greater durability than traditional materials, guaranteeing years of use without compromising performance.

Internal Tube Finish: The inside of the tube is coated with a matt black paint that absorbs excess light and reduces unwanted reflections. In addition, numerous diaphragms (baffling) have been inserted along the intubation to improve image contrast, preventing any light dispersion that could compromise optical quality.

CNC mechanics: The mechanical parts are made entirely with numerically controlled (CNC) machines, guaranteeing absolute precision. The secondary mount, machined from solid, ensures that the secondary viewfinder is always perfectly centred and without any bending. The lightweight and robust primary cell is also CNC-machined, with convenient knobs for easy collimation.

High Quality Hybrid Focuser: The 2’ Monorail/Rack-pinion hybrid focuser is designed to withstand heavy loads and offers fine adjustment with high precision. With the M56 male thread, it is compatible with photographic cameras and coma correctors. In addition, it is compatible with focuser motors such as ZWO EAF, iOptron iEAF, and Pegasus Vcube.

Included Accessories: The telescope comes with a pair of robust CNC rings, a 330mm Losmandy bar and a Vixen bar on top for comfortable grip and easy mounting on mounts. The total length of the tube is 670mm and the weight is only 6800 grams, making it suitable for smaller mounts such as the iOptron HAE29, GEM28 or Skywatcher EQ5.

Suitable for Astrophotography and Visual Observation: With an F/4 focal ratio, this telescope is particularly suitable for deep-sky photography, where the focal speed allows detailed images of even faint objects, such as nebulae and galaxies, to be captured using narrowband filters. Nevertheless, the Newton 200mm F/4 also offers excellent performance in visual observation, providing sharp and bright views of celestial objects such as nebulae, galaxies, the Moon and planets.

Recommended accessories for photography: To get the most out of astrophotography, the use of a coma corrector such as the Tecnosky 0.95X or the 1x FF version with ED lenses is recommended, to ensure a correct field of view and very high quality images.
