The optical scheme is the classic Plössl with 4 symmetric elements, multi-layer coatings on all of the optical surfaces and black-edge lenses for optimal suppression of undesiderable reflections. Total light transmission is very high, as well as optical correction, so these eyepieces are optimal performes in all of the astronomical observation fields.
 
The twist-up dewhsield (available in the 20, 25, 30 and 40 mm focal lengths) allows to adjust eye placement. Barrel is blackened and has a standard thread for 31.8 mm / 1.25" filters and other accessories.
 
The Vixen NPL eyepieces series works with any telescope of any optical scheme, they are universal eyepieces.
